The Origin Story

A software engineer, a painful desk job, and a eureka moment.

Edison Cao spent years as a software engineer — the kind of job that demands long hours, hunched over a screen. Like many, he assumed the answer was a better chair. He invested in the finest ergonomic setup money could buy. It didn't help.

The back pain persisted. Then one day, a friend suggested he try a TENS/EMS device. Edison was sceptical — it sounded like pseudoscience. But he tried it anyway, and within weeks he noticed a real, significant improvement. So he went looking for the evidence. He found it: a 2022 BMJ Open meta-analysis of 381 clinical trials confirming the efficacy of TENS and EMS therapy for pain relief and muscle recovery.

"The science was solid. The problem was every device on the market was either wired, bulky, or had gel pads you couldn't replace. None of them fit into a real person's life."

So Edison did what engineers do: he started from scratch. He redesigned the device around the life he actually lived — wireless, compact, with replaceable gel pads, and simple enough to use anywhere. The EZ Pulse Mini was the result.
